OST Viewer Tool requires a copy of Microsoft Outlook to be installed on the user's system for data recovery to take place.
The trial version of the program that can be downloaded from the official site free of charge features full file viewing functionality, but limits the number of recoverable objects to 5 per folder. Purchasing the full version removes all limitations and enables users to recover any number of objects from OST files as large as 32 TB.
